My musical biography

In 2019, Agnė Pasaravičienė obtained a bachelor's degree, and in 2021, a master's degree in music performance, composition, and education at the Royal Academy of Music in Aalborg, Denmark. In 2024, she also completed a post-graduate soloist studies diploma at the same institution, receiving the following evaluation from the examiners:

“Agnė performs a repertoire of original compositions and arrangements in her solo debut concert. She has a clearly defined and unique voice as a composer and arranger, and the concert was highly impressive and exceptionally professional. She is a remarkable storyteller, and her music reflects her impressions, emotions, and stories with a striking contrast of tension and release, chaos and beauty. Agnė has an excellent command of harmonies, voicings, and sound colours, with a particularly refined touch on the piano, showcasing the influence of her classical training. She possesses an incredible sense of rhythm and plays complex meters with ease. As a bandleader, she masterfully controls arrangements and music, and the concert highlighted a great variety of instrumentation. Agnė performs expressively and passionately, captivating the audience and creating a symbiotic connection with them.” Examiners: Ida Nielsen, Michael Sunding, and Torben Bjornskov.

Agnė's professional experience includes working as a bandleader, composer, and arranger (Agnė Pasaravičienė Quartet, Pasaravičienė/Balys Quintet, Pasaravičienė/Sedlak Duo), a pianist (Kenneth Dahl Knudsen “Uummat”, “The Collective Abroad”, “Pachamama Band”), a music educator (masterclasses in Denmark and Lithuania, music composition camp “4’33 Silence”), and a creator and director of socio-cultural projects (“Džiazo Karavanas”, “Rhythm of Success”, “Vest for Vesterbro 23-24”, "JazzCraft", and the podcast "Sėkmės ritmu").

Since 2020, her compositions have been recognised and awarded in various international competitions, including The USA Music Composition International Competition (organised by IYMC), MArte Live Europe, and XII Piano Composition Competition Fidelio. Her music has been included in several compilation albums, such as 1000Fryd 7" series”, “Jazz from Lithuania”, and “Note Lithuania Jazz 24”. She has performed her music live at jazz festivals in Denmark and Lithuania, including Aarhus Jazz, Vinterjazz, Supernova Jazz Blast, Kulturmødet, “Vievio džiazo klavišai 2023”, Birštonas Jazz Festival 2024, and the Baltic and Nordic Music Festival 2024.

In 2025, she will release her debut quartet album, "Towards True Self".

“Pianist Agnė Pasaravičienė is one of the hardest working dedicated musicians I've known. My music is not easy to interpret, and especially not for the pianist. Agnė took on the challenge and not only did she play it perfectly, but she also added her own aesthetics to the music.” Kenneth Dahl Knudsen
